PRINT GUMBO DEMOGRAPHICS


Demonstrations of printmaking methods and techniques will take place on Saturday April 6th from 9am to 5pm at the following locations in New Orleans:

New Orleans School of Glass Works and Printmaking Studio

Following on the success of the "Demographics" project at the 2001 SGC conference in Austin, demos will emphasize collaboration between  teams of 2-3 artists working at each of these locations.  Throughout the day, from 9am to 5pm, sheets of paper will be printed using a various techniques and methods and then hand carried by conference attendees from one printshop to the next using the St. Charles Streetcar.

Demographics is supported by a generous grant from the Newcomb Foundation of Newcomb College, Tulane University.
