"Three Nearly New Poems" is a collaborative book project between poet Andrei Codrescu and Dan Mayer. The limited-edition artists book was designed and organized in Arizona by Dan Mayer and produced in residence with Andrei Codrescu and Leslie Koptcho at the Louisiana State University printmaking studios. The 2-quarto bookform was printed by hand on a Vandercook cylinder press in nine runs (six runs from hand-processed photopolymer plates). Two relief runs were hand-inked a la poupée. The bookform includes a die-cut cover passed through the Vandercook, movable text-title page (reader propelled) fastened by a metal eyelet, map-style fold-out book format with three new poems by Andrei Codrescu, and a relief collage image by Dan Mayer. The papers used are Rives heavyweight and Kitatkata. The book is hand-sewn pamphlet style in an edition of 155 copies (125 Arabic and 30 Roman numbers). The bookform measures 5 x 7" closed and 10 x 14" opened. Signed by Andrei Codrescu and Dan Mayer. Andrei Codrescu is a poet, essayist, and commentator for National Public Radio.
