Questions
Position of words in questions: There are no helping verbs in Spanish:
English: Does Juan go to school? Spanish: ¿Juan va a la escuela? (Juan goes to school?) Note that the inflection at the end of a declarative entence will indicate a question
Spanish: ¿Juan va a la ESCUELA? English: (Juan goes to SCHOOL?)
In a Spanish question, it is also acceptable to say the verb first, followed by the subject: ¿Va Juan a la escuela? (Goes Juan to school?) (to top)
