Recommendations
from the Faculty Affairs Committee for the
Agenda of the Facuty Senate Meeting on April 2, 2001

Recommendation #1
The Faculty Affairs Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate receive an annual report from the administration based on the October payroll on the status of tenure and tenure-track faculty lines and that it include the following information: what happened to each line that became vacant (whether it remained with the unit, was frozen, was deleted, or was transferred to another unit) and what additional new lines were created.

Recommendation #2
The Faculty Affairs Committee recommends that the Faculty Senate receive an annual report from the administration on the status of changes in the non-tenure-track teaching (per attached tables) and that it include the percent of sections taught in each college (and each department in the case of Arts and Sciences) per fall and spring semester by non-tenure-track faculty. Data shall be based on the 14-day reports for the fall and spring semesters.
