Revision of Membership Para. for Executive Committee Rationale: The existing paragraph is incoherent; it does not reflect the existing practice of including non-Senators as members; it does not guarantee representation of each Standing Committee on the Executive Committee; and it includes administration members in what should be a major policy-making body of the faculty.

Membership shall consist of twelve elected members of the Senate and shall include six Chairs of the Standing Committees as designated in these Bylaws (Research Council, Teaching Council, Educational Policy Committee, Faculty Affairs Committee, Student Affairs Committee, and Budget Committee), six elected members of the Senate and the President, President-elect and the Secretary; and shall include as ex-officio members the Chancellor, the Chief Academic Officer, the immediate Past President and Chair of the Athletics Committee.
