CAREER Award.
- 02/16/2009 X. Zhao is selected to participate in the Faculty
First 2009 program to create a Web-based Interactive Teaching and Learning
Module for Nonlinear Dynamics in Biological Systems.
- 01/28/2009 Our presentation, titled Bifurcation analysis of spatially discordant
alternans, is accepted by the SIAM Conference on Applications of Dynamical
Systems (DS09), May 17-21, 2009 at Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort, in Snowbird,
Utah.
- 12/10/2008 Dr. Yu Wu (Walton) joined our group as a postdoc. Walton received
his Ph.D in Engineering Mechanics at Zhejiang
University, Hangzhou, China. Walton is jointly supported by the Nonlinear
Dynamics Lab and the Nano
Bio-systems and Nano Bio-mimetics Lab. Walton will work on mechanics of
nanoparticles and its influences on ivy secreting mechanism.
- 08/20/2008 Mr. Henian Xia joined our group as a Ph.D. student. Henian received
his BS in Electronic Information at the University
of Science and Technology of China. Henian's research will focus on mathematical
modeling and nonlinear data analysis of cardiac rhythms.
- 08/04/2008 Our article, "Indeterminacy of spatiotemporal cardiac alternans,"
published in Physical Review E 78, 011902 (2008), has been selected for the
July 15, 2008 issue of Virtual
Journal of Biological Physics Research. The Virtual Journal is an edited
compilation of links to articles from participating publishers, covering a
focused area of frontier research.
