Supporting Women's Studies

YOU can support Women’s Studies with financial contributions.

Our program relies on external funding to promote graduate education and scholarship. The program aims to offer students financial support for presenting their research at professional conferences and offer resources for career development, such as internships. We would like to expand the program to include the development of internships in the greater Knoxville area that would allow our students to develop professional and leadership skills in contributing to community growth and development. We are honored to work with local organizations to help our students become leaders in their professions and gain skills that will help them acquire jobs while building the greater Knoxville community.

The program also solicits financial support to help fund our lecture series, which brings noted scholars and women from a variety of professions to campus to speak to our students, faculty, and the Knoxville community at large. In the past, the Women’s Studies Program has helped fund series devoted to women’s health, sexuality and violence, and race and gender in the global community.
