Emily's List
This is a site dedicated to electing pro-choice women to congress and other positions. This list provides information about women candidates as well as allows you to donate to their campaigns. Emily's list is the largest financial resource for minority women seeking federal office. Available in ten different languages, including English.

Feminist Majority Foundation
This organization, founded in 1987, is an organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. FMF utilizes research and action to empower women economically, socially, and politically. This site allows you to view information regarding legislation pertinent to women's issues. The site also provides form letters that can be sent from the website to your state senators and representatives so that you may easily voice your concern regarding pending legislation.

Global Fund for Women
This organization is a "grantmaking foundation supporting women's human rights organizations around the world working to address critical issues such as gaining economic independence, increasing girls' access to education and stopping violence against women." International IDEA (Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance)
This organization seeks to promote sustainable democracy and to improve electoral processes internationally. Their page on "Gender and Political Participation" contains links to press releases, articles, and information on their Gender Project, the name of their effort to increase participation and representation in political life.

League of Women Voters

The mission of this organization is to empower women "in politics, media, society, the economy and cyberspace." They provide action alerts, a mechanism by which you can easily e-mail your congressperson, resources on voter education, and links to lots of political information, including information on international women's issues.
