As most of you know, I have a family member who has earned the MSLS degree and will soon be looking for employment in an academic library.
She has asked me for help in identifying questions that should be asked and those that should not be asked during an interview situation. In particular, she is concerned about how to learn more about salary and benefits without seeming to be overly concerned with these matters.
I thought that these questions might complement our recent discussion about recruitment and help to make all of us more sensitive to the questions that we ask and also how to make the interview situation easier for the candidates.
Please let me know about your list of "good" and "bad" questions.
