Freiburg is known for its university, good weather, vineyards, and soccer club.  Situated in the extreme southwest corner of Germany near the Black Forest, it is 20 minutes from France, 45 minutes from Switzerland, 2 hours from Austria, and 3.5 hours from Italy.

Students will live in the dormitories at the University of Freiburg, one of the world’s top 100 universities.  Evenings can be spent exploring Freiburg, which is both a university town and a tourist destination with history, culture, music, and nightlife.  Weekends can be spent traveling through the region, whether in Germany or in the surrounding countries.
