ADVISING APPOINTMENTS

Appointments for advising during the semester may be made by calling Dr. Morgan at 974-7167, signing up on the sign-up sheet posted on his office door at Austin Peay 303-B, or contacting him by e-mail at wesmorgan@utk.edu or by clicking on the e-mail icon below. Regular office hours are on Monday mornings from 9:00 to 11:00.

Please prepare for your appointment by completing a "Psychology Major Checklist" form for your year of entry into the University. These forms as well as other descriptive information about the undergraduate major in psychology are availiable at the Department of Psychology Student Services office in Austin Peay 307. Bring the completed forms with you to your advising appointment.

If you wish to change your advisor complete the brief "Request to Change Advisor" form also availiable in Austin Peay 307.

The Department of Psychology will also operate an Advising Center in Austin Peay Room 306. It will be staffed by peer advisors (students and graduate students) and faculty of the department. Both walk-ins and appointments will be accepted, and the hours of operation will be posted in Room 307. In addition, some Group Advising Sessions will be available, and students may sign-up for these sessions in Room 307 as well.

I have found the best way to give advice... is to find out what they want and then advise them to do it.
