Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) offers free trolley service through the downtown area of the city. Several of these routes go past places mentioned in Cormac McCarthy's novel, Suttree. The KAT Trolley Map link below shows four of these routes, and the corresponding linked webpages enumerate the places mentioned along each route along with their related page references to Suttree. Many other Suttree related sites are only a short walk from stops along the routes. Please note that the routes mentioned generally operate only on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Paper copies of route map are generally available in the trolley, library or hotels.

          The gregarious traveler will likely have the opportunity to meet many McCarthyesque fellow passengers along the way.
