McAnally (McAnally Addition) was indeed an old residential section of Knoxville, but it has largely been destroyed by commercial and interstate highway construction. It was roughly bounded by Western Avenue, Webster Avenue, Tellico Avenue--Twenty-second Street and University Avenue. It included Leslie Avenue and Bruce Alley.
