US Army Leadership Training Course

Prepare yourself to be a leader in the 21st Century with The United States Army Leadership Training Course

The University of Tennessee Military Science Department is sponsoring an all expense paid Leadership Training Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky. America’s top trainers conduct this program, hosted by the Army, and there is NO military obligation.

Course Topics, Benefits, & Opportunities:

  • Hands-on leadership training, not available in the classroom.
  • Develop self-confidence and team building skills.
  • Participate in adventure training including marksmanship, rappelling, and land navigation.
  • Put your skills to the test on the leadership reaction course.
  • Learn decision making processes and the importance of timely decision making.
  • Excellent physical conditioning.
  • All expenses paid including round trip transportation, meals and lodging.
  • Credits: Earn up to 4 college credit hours.
  • Pay: Earn about $700.
  • Course completion: Qualifies you for advance course enrollment and the ability to compete for a 2 year scholarship or participation in a co-op program worth up to $15,000. Upon completion of the advance course and college graduation you earn your commission as a Second Lieutenant, signifying that you’re an accomplished leader and an Officer of the United States Army.

Who's Eligible?

  • Preferably students between sophomore and junior year, seniors and graduate students welcome.
  • Students MUST have a minimum of 54 credit hours and a minimum 2.0 GPA (if competing for scholarship, minimum 2.5 GPA).
  • Students may not have any major civil convictions.
  • Students between 18 and 27 years of age (if competing for scholarship, no older than 24).
  • Physically qualified by a medical doctor (no expense to the student).
  • U.S. Citizens.
