BIKE PATROL

Since 1992, the Patrol Division has been supplemented by use of the UTPD Bicycle Patrol. These officers, all of whom are volunteers chosen from the Patrol Division, patrol campus on specially equipped mountain bikes. The Bike Patrol, as it is commonly referred to, allows officers to patrol areas that are not usually accessible to officers in a car while allowing for a more rapid response than an officer on foot.
