UT-NSA has decided to do a candlelight vigil to honor and provide respect to all the victims who suffered during the terrible earthquake last Saturday (04/25/2015). Please be sure to wear the shirt recently that was designed recently which says “Pray for Nepal”. If anybody does not have the shirt, you can buy those at the event for $10. The money collected from the shirt sale will also be donated to the UT Earthquake relief fund.
You can either bring your own candle or get candle at the event from UT-NSA staff.We will meet at 7:30 pm sharp at Circle Park.

During the event please be respectful of other people, use sidewalks to avoid interfering with traffic (as requested by UT-police). Attached: A map which shows the location for the event as well as possible parking locations for the people who are unfamiliar with UT campus. Since the event is held after 6 pm, both staff and student parking can be utilized for potential parking spots apart from street parking that is available at the Volunteer Blvd.
We are very pleased to announce New year potluck program to celebrate “Naya Barsa 2072”. Adair Park (known to have Butterfly gardens and a duck pond, playgrounds) has been chosen as the venue for the program. We would like to heartily invite you all in this event and take a little break from hectic college schedule. We are also looking up to collect membership fee ($10/ person) during the event. Santosh ji and Shiv ji will be informing us about collection procedure. This time we have developed a membership form to keep record of our new/upcoming members, link to the form will be sent after fee collection. We are hoping for get together after a long time and celebrate "Naya Barsa" with zeal and joy.

UTNSA Logo by Sarbottam Piya is a winning logo for Nepalese Student Association, University of Tennessee. The logo has impressive icon of Buddha eye's that represents as symbol of Nepal. Red silky and satin effect to UTNSA letters represents national color and wavy Nepali flag on blue background for peace with Nepali flag's moon and sun. We are in need of a logo that will be a hallmark of the association. Sooner, we will see the hallmark in our official website, Facebook page, t-shirts, mugs, pens, etc. We believe that everyone in our community, no matter where they are, should be given a fair chance to participate in this endeavor. So, we are publicly announcing a logo design competition through our official Facebook page . The rules of the competition are as follows:Number of colors: Maximum of 3 colors. Two of the colors should be blue and red as in Nepal's national flag.
