| I
was born in Charleston, West Virginia. I graduated from Herbert
Hoover High School in Clendenin, West Virginia where I played baseball
and football.
In 1971, I enlisted
in the United States Navy. Attending college part time during numerous
tours of duty, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business
Management from Northwood University, Midland, Michigan. I retired
in 1995 with over 24 years of active duty.
Returning to
civilian life, I started working for a government contractor as
an Application Systems Analyst in New Orleans, Louisiana. Due to
a job transfer we relocated to East Tennessee.
In my spare
time I enjoy gardening, landscaping and an occasional round of golf
with friends. My wife Priscilla, also a 20-year Navy veteran, and
I live in Maryville, Tennessee.
