| I
was born in Syracuse, New York and later moved to Olney, Illinois,
where I finished high school. I continued schooling at Murray State
University, Murray Kentucky, where I graduated with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Chemistry. Following my initial Navy training,
I started working in the aviation field on the S-3A Viking aircraft.
I served aboard various aircraft carriers during my 22 year career
before I retired from the U.S. Navy.
I started
working for the University of Tennessee Veterans’ Pre-College
Program in 1997 as an Educational Specialist working with military
veterans assisting to enroll in postsecondary institutions. My specialty
is tutoring math, computers, and general science.
In
my spare time I like to “tinker” around the house and
fix old repairable items. My lovely wife, Kathryn, and I reside
in west Knoxville, TN.
