Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Numerous opportunities exist at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for undergraduate students to become involved in original and innovative study under the direction of a faculty member. Projects may be formalized through honors or senior design requirements of academic majors or may develop as a side interest during a student's academic career. Research and creative projects give students professional experience in their chosen fields of interest and strongly enhance the educational experiences of talented and motivated students.
UT/ORNL Summer Research Internship Programs
The Chancellor’s Office and Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) each sponsor summer internship programs designed to promote research and creative activity among undergraduate students. All undergraduate students enrolled at the Knoxville campus are eligible for these unique opportunities. Learn more.
Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement (EURCA)
Each spring, the Exhibition of Undergraduate Research and Creative Achievement (EURCA) showcases research and creative activities by currently enrolled undergraduates in collaboration with a UT Knoxville faculty mentor. This annual competition encourages, supports and rewards undergraduate participation in the campus research enterprise by awarding monetary prizes for exemplary projects and performances. Learn more.
