Welcome, we're the University Republicans at UT! We exist to give young conservatives and Republicans a chance to get involved with political issues affecting us all and to take part in social events where we can all get to know other like minded students. Most of the time a University campus is one of the least welcoming of all places a young conservative might go. We're trying to change that. We believe that we all have a voice, and we want to make our voice heard. We are a very diverse bunch, spanning the political field from moderates to conservatives to libertarians, so you're likely to find someone else in the group who shares your beliefs.
We have various events going on throughout the semester, along with one formal meeting a month, and we'd love to have you join us! We're looking forward to a busy year, with plenty of chances for you to take part in club events. We plan to have various social events to keep your calendar busy, everything from football tailgating to small get togethers at various Knoxville locations. At every meeting we'll be having various speakers, ranging from veterans of the War on Terror to local and state political figures. Our meetings are a good chance to meet other members, and are where you get the chance to take an active part in the club. The group usually goes out to one of the eateries on the famous Strip after the meeting for a chance to relax and chat.
