Welcome to the Department of Geography’s web site. The Department is housed in the Burchfiel Geography Building which lies in the heart of the University of Tennessee campus. The building was funded by the generosity of the late William Burchfiel Jr. and is named in honor of his father. Inside the building are the men and women who comprise the Department. The faculty, staff, and students in Geography bring an enthusiasm, dedication, and genuine friendliness to the affairs of the Department.
