• The 2012 Horn Quartet (Laura Shifflette, Matt Goins, Cassie Pierce, Jordan Taylor) performed at the TMEA convention in Nashville. They assisted Calvin Smith in a presentation on small ensemble rehearsal techniques.

• The UT Horn Ensemble performed at assisted living facilities in Knoxville during the spring semester.

• Joey Johnson received his Master of Music in Horn Performance degree. He has accepted a Graduate Assistantship at the University of West Virginia and has begun his doctoral studies.
