I
originally began working with UT Federal Programs during the summer
of 2001. First, I worked with the Math and Science Regional Center
as a resident assistant. I had one of the most rewarding summers!
What started out as a fun summer job turned into a relocation and
full time position as an Educational Specialist with Pre-College
Upward Bound.
This is not my first
experience with TRIO programs. During high school, I participated
in Educational Talent Search for three years. Furthermore, I continued
working with TRIO programs in college as a McNair scholar where
I was offered wonderful opportunities to conduct research, present
at conferences, and prepare for graduate school. While working for
Pre-College Upward Bound, I plan to continue my education and pursue
graduate studies at UTK.
Upward Bound
provides an incredible service to support and prepare students to
further their education. I am positive that each student served
from the program has grown tremendously: socially, emotionally,
and academically. I continually learn from the students as I hope
they learn from me.
