| Nancy
Headlee's career in education has covered many jobs -- classroom
teacher, school counselor, administrator, and consultant. She has
worked with TRIO programs for the past 8 years including Hiwassee
College Upward Bound, the University of Tennessee’s Math &
Science Regional Center Upward Bound, and Educational Talent Search
since August 2003. She is the first one in her family to go to college
-- once she got started she just couldn’t stop! She earned
a Bachelor of Science degree from UT Knoxville, a Master of Arts
from Tennessee Technology University, and is currently completing
work on her doctorate at UT.
Nancy’s
passion is working with children and youth in both her professional
and personal life. She is a ropes course facilitator, volunteer
for various camps and youth leadership events, and has done short
term mission work with her church in the U.S. as well as in West
Africa, Guatemala, Costa Rica, and Tonga. Photography is her hobby
and her travels have given her many “Kodak moments”.
She and her three daughters love music, movies, and cooking.
