Leagues
Leagues offer those interested in bowling, billiards or table tennis the chance to compete weekly for bragging rights and prizes. Leagues are different from tournaments and clubs in the following areas:
- Leagues are a semester long commitment.
- Leagues generally meet on the same day at the same time every week.
- In order to remain competitive, you must attend every week. If you miss a week, it makes it difficult to place high in the final standings.
- Scores are kept weekly, and are cumulative, yielding a semester champion.
- Prizes are awarded at the end of each semester.
- Some leagues are handicapped, giving beginners the chance to compete against experienced players.
Halo 3: ODST League on Xbox 360
This league is for UT students, staff, or faculty. It begins the week before Fall Break and runs through the week before Thanksgiving Break. Entry fee is $20 per two-person team. Sign up in Down Under by Sunday, October 4. Late entries are accepted through Sunday, October 11, but the entry fee increases to $25 beginning October 5.
The league will be played in Team Slayer, utilizing a combination of the new maps offered by ODST some of the favorites from Halo 3, and a revitalized Heretic map, the highly anticipated return of Halo 2's Midship.
Matches are self-scheduled, meaning you will be told who to play, then you contact the other team to set a time that works for all of you. We hope this will allow more participation since it isn't set to a certain night and you can work around your classes and other obligations.

Monday Mixed Bowling League
This league has been highly successful at Down Under, and sometimes results in more teams than available lanes, so be sure to sign up early!
- Fall interest meeting is Thursday, September 3, 2009 at 5:00pm in Down Under
- Fall League begins Monday, September 14 at 6:00pm and lasts 10-12 weeks
- Register your team ASAP by calling 865-974-1077 or emailing amyanderson@utk.edu (twelve teams max).
- Warm ups begin at 5:45pm, and league play starts at 6pm.
- League rules are based on USBC Regulations.
- Teams consist of four people: all men, all women, or any combination
- Handicap is 90% of 210, which levels the playing field between beginners and advanced bowlers
- UT Students, Staff, Faculty, and Guests welcome
Other Bowling Leagues
In the event the Monday league fills up, another league may be offered on a different night.
Also, call RecSports at 865-974-0492 regarding the Intramural Bowling League that will occur in the spring semester.
