SharePoint for Faculty and Staff
Prerequisites for all classes: You must be able to log into your SharePoint account. You should verify that your account has been enabled by logging into: https://utspaces.tennessee.edu with your UTK\netid and password. If you get an error when you log in please contact the Help Desk at 974-9900.
Sharepoint Training for Faculty and Staff
SharePoint is a Microsoft technology that provides organizations with a web-based platform for content management, information-sharing, communication, collaboration, and much more. At UT, SharePoint will begin as a web site (utspaces,) for faculty and staff. These are individual web sites that allow users to maintain their web presence at UT. The utspaces sites have many features that allow users to communicate, share documents, access colleagues’ utspaces sites, and much more. OIT Training has developed training classes to help you take advantage of the capabilities of and enjoy your interaction with SharePoint. This class will help you gain a thorough understanding of the SharePoint interface and will help you get started with your own site development.

Sharepoint Training for Team Site Admin
This training class is designed for Administrators of a Departmental SharePoint Site (utworks). Typically, this person is a site owner with elevated security rights or a departmental site administrator who is responsible for administering and maintaining the site, including creating sub sites and assigning permissions. The utworks sites have many features that allow departments and teams to work together to communicate, share documents, track performance, and manage projects and tasks. This class will help you to master the collaborative features of SharePoint Team sites.
Prerequisites for classes: Must have completed the SharePoint 1 Training for Faculty and Staff. Must have Administrator permissions and access to a Departmental Site.
