Prospective students are encouraged to make application at least six months before anticipated matriculation.

Admission Criteria
Applications to the Ph. D. program are submitted to two different offices: the Graduate School, and the TPTE Department.

Submit to the Office of Graduate and International Admissions the following:
• the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Graduate Application
• one official transcript of all undergraduate and graduate work, and

Non-native English speaking applicants must comply with all admission requirements stipulated by the Graduate School and are advised to speak with faculty regarding admission standards.
