TPTE teaches undergraduates how to teach and offers an opportunity to practice those skills in preparation for licensing by the State of Tennessee. The department also offers graduate programs leading to teacher licensure, certification programs for teachers pursuing careers as administrators, and advanced degrees at all levels for experienced teachers.
