Shannon E. Coulter
Shannon Coulter is an instructor in the Department of Theory and Practice in Teacher Education, where he also supervises interns. He teaches an introduction to secondary education course and co-teaches the action research courses with Drs. Susan Groenke and Andrea Stairs. Before coming to Knoxville, Shannon taught high school English in a suburb of San Diego, California for eight years. Also, he is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Educational Psychology where his emphasis is on program evaluation and teacher preparedness. On a more personal note, Shannon enjoys discovering Knoxville with his family, especially his two-year-old daughter who consumes most of his free time.
