Gary C. Ubben, Ph.D.

Gary is a Professor of Educational Administration and Supervision. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota. Before becoming a professor, he served as a teacher, principal, and school business manager. Dr. Ubben has been active in the programs of the National Association of Secondary School Principals as well as the National Association of Elementary Principals. He focuses his scholarship and teaching in three areas: 
principalship, strategic planning and educational policy analysis. Dr. Ubben also leads the international programs in Educational Administration currently directing a partnership program with the eastern European country of Bulgaria. Dr. Ubben has published ten textbooks on principalship over the past twenty years. His most recent is The Principal, Creative Leadership for Excellence in Schools (Allyn and Bacon, 2004).
