Applying to the M.S., Ed.S.. or Ph. D. programs in Theory and Practice in Teacher Education

When making application to the Graduate School, you must submit your application at least one month prior to the review or entry date. You have the final responsibility for the timely arrival of each required item.

A. The items listed below must be sent to:

  1. GRE scores (only required for Ph.D.). Request that your GRE scores and University transcripts be sent to The Graduate School. Official transcript from each College or University you have attended (both graduate and undergraduate.)

  2. $35.00 application fee and Graduate school application. You may apply to the University of Tennessee Graduate School online: Graduate School application

  3. Update your status. If you have been admitted to UT as a non-degree student and are currently taking courses (or have taken graduate courses at UT within the past two years) you must submit a request for change of graduate program form to the Graduate School to become a degree seeking student.

  1. Departmental application. M.S., Ed. S., or Ph.D. degrees.

  2. References. Three people must write and send a reference for you. Supply them with this Rating Form. (Not required for Track II Students.)

    Note:
    a) Do not refer your rating form writers to this link. You must sign each form and deliver it to each of your writers.

    b) Rating forms will not be accepted directly from you. Be sure to give each person a stamped envelope, preaddressed to the address above.
