| Our show site (map) was the Chester and Gail Franklin Farm, adjacent to US411 about 6 miles North of Maryville, TN, right where the highway crosses the Little River. Show hosts Chester and Gail Franklin’s John Deeres and Farmalls were among more than 150 tractors and a lot of engines at our show. | |
| Oscar and Irene Best took a minute to pose on their Massey Harris Pony, complete with a set of cultivators. Notice the custom paint job. | |
| Many folks enjoyed a ride on Bud Neubert’s wagon, being pulled here by his Model B Allis Chalmers. | |
| The largest hit-and-miss engine at the show was Paul Walcott’s massive 15 hp Reid. | |
| Katie Chattin has a nice toy machinery collection, plus a lot of old hand tools. Katie’s been registering and showing her collection since she was 3. | |
| Foodservice coordinator
Laura Leatherwood and her helpers, including cook Marvin DeVault, did a
great job providing hot food and cold drinks for everyone.
When someone was kind enough to let her leave the kitchen, Laura took time to compete in driving contests and visit with show participants |

| Gospel music entertainment
by “The Highlights” made for an enjoyable Friday evening.
Robert Anderson provided entertainment on Saturday with his finger picking style guitar. |
|
| Everyone had fun at the Kiddie Tractor Pull. Cole Williamson (top picture) is showing us how it’s done, and it was a lot easier after John Proffitt got off the sled! | |
| The Leatherwoods led a bunch of tractors in the Parade of Power. Randy Moats and his helpers did a good job announcing tractor makes and ownership over the PA. | |
| Kyle Perkins tried his hand at the slow race, but his Allis Chalmers just wasn’t slow enough. | |
| Blacksmith Robin Fazio brought his forge and gave lessons to anyone who wanted to heat and bend some metal to make small items. | |
| Kids especially enjoyed anything they could participate in, such as turning the crank on Nancy Larson’s sock knitting machine. | |
| Hannah Prather is smiling
because she is the proud new owner of the Scale Super M pedal tractor given
away at the end of the show. Her brother, Daniel, likes it too and
he helped her get it loaded with Dad's tractor for the ride home.
We will will be giving away a Scale John Deere Model A pedal tractor at the end of the 2001 show. |
