| Changes for 2003: The following changes are being implemented this year: 1. Electrical service: We had had as many as 200 tractors and engines on display, plus a number of other exhibits on our display area of approximately 5 acres. Paid attendance in 2000 was approximately 500, but remember that all exhibitors, vendors, advertisers and volunteers get in free.2. Vendors' setup fee: The Club voted to charge a $20 setup fee for vendors beginning with the 2003 Show. The setup fee is waived if the vendor purchases an ad in the Show Book. Advertising rates start at $25 for a 1/4 page ad (approximately business card size). Contact the Show Chairs if you have questions.3. Food vendors: The Club will not be operating food concessions this year. All food services wil be provided by vendors. Our food vendors have providede a variety of good fare in the past, and we look forward to enjoying it again this year. |

1. How big is this show? We had had as many as 200 tractors and engines on display, plus a number of other exhibits on our display area of approximately 5 acres. Paid attendance in 2000 was approximately 500, but remember that all exhibitors, vendors, advertisers and volunteers get in free.2. Is the show indoors or outdoors? This is an outdoor show in a grassy field. There is a large pavillion at one side, and there are trees along the bank of the Little River at one side of the site.3. Will I have electrical service? There is very limited electrical service at the pavillion only, and connections are limited to the Club's fans and PA system.4. Is there handicapped parking and easy access? Absolutely. People with disabilities should advise our gate personnel of the needs, and they will gladly direct you to the designated handicapped parking area.5. What are the safety rules for the show? Click here to view the safety rules. We want everyone to help us to make this a safe and enyoable event for exhibitors and guests alike. Your cooperation and compliance with these safety rules is expected at all times.6. Can I get in free if I volunteer to work at the show? Yes! So, choose an area of the show that you would like to help with and volunteer. If you are not sure what you want to do, then contact us and we will gladly help you find something to do. If everyone will help for a couple of hours, then nobody has to work too long. Remember, the show is for you, so if you think it is important and worthwhile, then you need to help.7. What does the Foothills Antique Tractor and Engine Club do with the money raised from this show and other activities? This is a very important question. The Club operates as a non-profit organization, and none of the officers or board members receive any compensation at all for their time and efforts. Therefore, all funds are used to support club events, membership activities and charities. Major items in the club budget are:8. Advertisers: 1. What is the Show Book or Program like? The Show Book is a saddle stitched 5.5 x 8.5 inch book containing information about the club and our annual show. It also features ads from businesses and individuals in our communities. Advertising in our Show Program allows us to offer our show with a low admission charge and without charging setup fees for vendors. The net profit from the show is used to cover the Club's insurance and a couple of other annual costs, and surplus at the end of the year is donated to charities such as the Good Samaritan Clinic (provides healthcare for those who cannot afford it), Angel Tree (Christmas gifts for needy children) and Shriners Hospital for Children. We would appreciate your support in the form of an ad. Prices start at just $25.2. What are the ad rates? Advertising rates are:
$50 for 1/2 page, 4 x 5 1/2 $75 for 3/4 page 6 x 5 1/2 $100 for a full page, 8 x 5 1/2 All ads are printed black on white paper. Your ad will provide exposure for your business to every exhibitor and guest attending our show. We believe in supporting our community, so we encourage our members to support the businesses that support the club. You also know that we will use your money wisely, returning any surplus to area charities each year.4. Do advertisers get in free? Yes, all advertisers are provided 2 free passes to the show. |

Exhibitors: 1. Who can exhibit at the show? Anyone exhibiting antique farm equipment, farmstead equipment, homestead equipment, tools and related items is welcome to exhibit at our show. In addition, we invite vendors who cater to the interests of our members and the hobby, including equipment dealers, parts vendors, etc.2. Are there restrictions on what can be exhibited at the show? Because this is a family affair, we ask that you be reasonable in what you show. Please do not display anything that is offensive to others. This includes, but is not limited to, material that is/uses profanity, sexually suggestive material, racially offensive material, or violence.3. Is there a setup fee for exhibitors that are not members of Foothills Antique Tractor and Engine Club? No, we do not charge a setup fee to participate in our show for a couple of reasons. Even though we have had several very successful shows, we are still "growing" our show and we want to make the show as near risk-free for our vendors as possible. Likewise, we do not want to make it to costly for the people who are coming to our show for the fun of it and are not trying to make a living at it.4. Will I have electrical service? There is very limited electrical service at the pavillion only, and connections are generally limited to the Club food service area and a couple of our most loyal "charter" exhibitors. If you must have electrical service, then you ought to consider a generator or power inverter. However, please be kind to others at the show and do not run loud generators.5. Do exhibitors get in free? Yes, all exhibitors and vendors get in free. In keeping with our membership guidelines, free admission applies to exhibitors and vendors and those living in the same household. |

Auction: 1. Is this a consignment auction? No, this is a fun/charity auction to raise funds for the Club. All items in the auction are donated to the Club. You may, however, set a minimum bid amount as long as it is reasonable. We have allowed this in the past just so items are not sold to cheaply. Of course, you can always bid to buy back your items.2. Who bring something to the auction? Anyone can donate an item to the auction. Let us know if you need a receipt for tax deduction purposes.3 .What types of things can be auctioned? Use the same guidelines as we have for the types of things to be exhibited and sold. Because this is a family affair, we ask that you be reasonable in what you display and sell. Please do not display or sell anything that is offensive to others. This includes, but is not limited to, material that is/uses profanity, sexually suggestive material, racially offensive material, or violence. |
