National Geographic Bee
Schools with students in grades 4-8 in the United States are eligible to participate in this annual competition. Principals can find out how to register their schools by going to: www.nationalgeographic.com/geographicbee. Schools that register by the deadline to conduct a school-level Bee, receive all contest materials and information they need. The school contest, with a minimum of six students participating, produces one school winner. That one school Bee winner then takes a qualifying test to determine up to the top 100 scoring students in each state who are invited to the state-level Bees. The winners of state Bees compete in the national finals in Washington, D.C. in late May. Check with your school to see if they participate in this annual event.
