15th TANDEC Nonwovens Conference

The University of Tennessee and TANDEC have announced that the TANDEC Nonwovens Conference is moving from late Fall to April for future years, at the urging of its participants and also to avoid the hurricane aftermaths of recent experience. In 2006, the 15th TANDEC Nonwovens Conference will be held April 18-20 at the UT Conference Center, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. Attendees will include representatives from academia, government labs and corporate management, research and development, analytical and quality control, sales and marketing, and plant production, for roll goods producers and their suppliers. Advances in machinery and equipment are a major focus. In addition, end users of nonwoven products participate to encourage continual improvement and innovation in the nonwoven community. To continue to make this a meaningful conference, quality papers including poster presentations are solicited in (but not limited to) the following areas and interested authors are encouraged to contact organizing committee members for possible topics.

Selection of the papers to be presented will be based on abstracts of 200-400 words. Authors should emphasize new and significant findings. Graduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts for the poster session. Abstracts must be received by December 9, 2005 at the following address:

The abstract must include the name, affiliation, telephone number, fax number, e-mail address and mailing address of each author. Speakers for technical papers and presenters for posters should be underlined and will receive a complimentary conference registration.
Authors will be notified of acceptance of their abstracts on or before January 6, 2005. Authors of accepted papers are required to provide a full manuscript by March 1, 2006 for publication in the Conference Proceedings. Authors should have secured any necessary clearance for all abstracts, papers and other materials submitted.
