Location: Department of Agricultural Economics, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, Tennessee.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will conduct applied research in food demand, nutrition, health and public policy.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in agricultural economics, economics, or statistics; good econometric skills with emphasis on microeconometrics (required) and panel-data econometrics (useful); experience with large data sets; facility with programs such as SAS, GAUSS and MATLAB; and familiarity with nonlinear estimation algorithms. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. The successful candidate will also need to have good organizational skills and be self-motivated.
Salary: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience. This position is based on extramural funding and is dependent upon funding availability.
