Michelle Pfeffer: A True Treehugger

On February 21, 2006, Michelle "Chell" Pfeffer lost her battle with leukemia. Michelle was an active SPEAK member for four years. Always volunteering for events Michelle tabled, picked up litter, battled privit, and ran an ink cartridge recycling program all with a smile on her face. Michelle served as a SPEAK officer for several years as both secretary and historian. She also served as the student representative to the Environmental Semester steering committee and as the student coordinator of the Make Orange Green program 2004-2005. Michelle was active in environmental activities with her church and worked to plan Knoxville's first Meat Out event. Michelle made the world a better place every day. Her love of the earth and its inhabitants will be greatly missed.
