Dr. Ayo's area of specialization is 18th. and 19th. century Spanish Peninsular literature. His research interests include the Realist novel, nationalism and its literary manifestation in Cataluña and Galicia, and the relationship between Spanish and Portuguese literatures. He has focused his work on Benito Pérez Galdós, Miguel de Unamuno, Joan Maragall, Fernando Pessoa, Ramón Pérez de Ayala and Rosalía de Castro. |
