February 2008
February Woman of the Month Winner, Lauren Greiner, was chosen on behalf of her involvement within her sorority as well as on campus. She currently serves as the President of Chi Omega Fraternity. From her nominations, it is very apparent that she is an admired and well-respected leader within her chapter. However, Lauren is also very involved outside of her chapter in with various philanthropic organizations such as Dance Marathon where she serves as the Director of Catering, the Boys and Girls Club, Dream Connections, and the Read with Me Program. Lauren stays very busy with these extra-curricular activities in addition to her busy academic schedule. Her dedication, time management, and general concern for others is what one wrote while describing why Lauren deserved the title of February Woman of the Month.
February Woman of the Month Winner, Emily Holt, was described throughout her nominations as a talented and smart member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority. She has gained the respect of many upperclassmen, as one person stated, because she has the ability to make everyone around her feel loved and appreciated. She is a hardworking and kind hearted individual who helped her chapter as well as Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity have success in the All-Sing Competition by serving as the All-Sing Director. She shows involvement in campus organizations as well as the co-anchor of a Journalism class show which airs on WBIR on the weekends, and during the week she is busy being a nanny to three children, but still finds ways to stay involved with her chapter and Panhellenic.
