Groundbreaking Ceremony
The groundbreaking ceremony took place on June 26th. Over 60 brothers and friends attended the ceremony on the site of what will be the new fraternity house. The previous house was built and occupied in the mid-1960's. Sigma Nu is the only fraternity scheduled to build a new house on Fraternity Row. During the ceremony the fraternity recognized three brothers for their long time service to the chapter with the fraternity's Torchbearer Award --- Brother Jack Nelson, EH 471, was recognized for his many years of dedication as Chapter Advisor and his work with the university community to develop fraternity park. Brother Nelson and his wife Carolyn presented the chapter with a picture from the groundbreaking ceremony for the previous fraternity house. Brother Jim Webster, EH 398, was recognized for his many years of service to the fraternity's Housing Corporation. And the late Tom Hunt, EH 758, was recognized for this dedication and commitment to the building of the new fraternity house. Please the attached news clip------ Click Here
