Healthy Sleep Habits
TIPS FOR GOOD SLEEP
- So You Don't Count Sheep
- Maintain a regular bed and wake time schedule.
- Exercise regularly and complete your workout at least 3 hours before bedtime.
- Avoid alcohol, especially close to bedtime. Alcohol has been found to contribute to less restful sleep.
- Sleeping in a slightly cool environment lower than 75 degrees and higher then 54 degrees reduces the chance of disruption during sleep.
- While the amount of sleep one needs may vary across populations continuous quality sleep contributes to how we feel, our daily performance, and our overall quality of life.
