Description of Program: I am doing a comparative study of savior gods in the religious traditions of ancient India and Greece. In English translation, I will compare writings, artistic representations, and worship of Dionysus as related to the cult of Orpheus in Greek mythology to that of Kalki, the only awaited avatar of Krishna in Hinduism.

Plans after graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.): I would like to attend graduate school in Comparative Literature or Religion, earning my Master’s degree, followed by my Ph.D.
