Description of Program: studying methodologies and techniques in second language acquisition with a focus on creative writing as a language teaching tool. I am supplementing these studies with courses in advanced French, Portuguese and Spanish in order to experience foreign language acquisition firsthand, and with creative writing and literature courses in the English department that allow me to explore the artistic side of language.

Plans after graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.): teaching ESL in France or Brazil, then probably graduate school and a career in ESL education back in the U.S., hopefully with enough time on the side to write poetry that people like enough to publish.
