Description of Program:  Synthesis and characterization of Cs2AgF4 and its barium doped derivatives using high-energy X-ray diffraction and muon spin resonance (MuSR) techniques.

Plans after graduation (career, graduate/professional school, etc.):   graduate school in Scotland or England- focus being on synthetic inorganic chemistry and X-ray diffraction techniques

Study Abroad:  Two weeks in England and Scotland to establish senior project workspace and networking (December 2007), three months in England and Scotland carrying out senior project and teaching general chemistry (May-August 2008), intended three month visit to England, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, and Germany to visit  research colleagues (May-August 2009).

Research Experiences or Internships:  Research experience in inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, and material science laboratories, summer internship at ORNL (summer 2007)
