"Exploring the Scales" Colloquium
“Exploring the Scales” is a weekly colloquium attended by all students and faculty. Each week a different guest lecturer, from among the chief researchers in the field, will be featured. This colloquium will promote an open dialog with others in our national and international community about SCALE-IT and research strides that are being accomplished. Importantly, it will provide a mechanism for students to interact with leaders in the field, allowing them to assimilate notable research discoveries in the discipline.
We also will feature lectures from our colleagues working with our “Science, Ethics and Society” focus on a quarterly basis. In this rapidly progressing interdisciplinary area, participants should be aware of the ethical and societal of ongoing research, and they should also be allowed to confront them in the community setting.
