Gi-Yong (Win) Koo

Assistant Professor

Gi-Yong Koo is from Korea and he teaches the graduate and undergraduate Sport Marketing classes, Win, as Gi-Yong is called, earned his bachelor's and master's at Yonsei University and received his doctorate in Sport Management from Florida State University. The primary goal of his research is to understand sport consumer behavior with an emphasis on consumer responses to sport sponsorship derived from the consumer's schematic information process. A second line of research involves fan identification, loyalty, and its ultimate effects on purchasing decisions leading to collaborative efforts aimed at understanding the psychological basis of fan behavior within the sports setting. Win is also the master of Tae Kwon Do and holds a 6th degree black belt.
