Our group investigates fundamental problems in cell biology and immunology using theoretical and computational methods. We study processes involving biochemical signaling networks, cell membranes, and the cytoskeleton. Some of our specific interests include antigen recognition and lymphocyte activation, motor-driven transport of organelles, stochasticity in biochemical reaction networks, and membrane biophysics.
We are currently recruiting graduate students. If you are interested in joining our group, please contact Dr. Abel to learn more about the group and potential opportunities.
