Psychology Major Course Requirements

Prerequisites  

·        Psychology 110 with a C or better           

 

·        1 year of a biological science (Anthropology; Biology; Physiology)     

    

·       30 or more semester hours         

  

·        Overall GPA of 2.0 or greater          

 
The Major: At least 24 hours of 200,300,400 Psychology Courses  
One From: Psychology 295 (Research Analysis) or Psychology 395 [Research   Methods (Psych 395 prerequisites are Psych 385 or Math 115 or Stat 201)]  

    Three from the following:

 

Psychology 210 (Biological Bases)

  

Psychology 220 (Existential/Humanistic)                      

 

Psychology 300 (Child)

  

Psychology 310 (Learning and Thinking)

  

Psychology 320 (Motivation and Emotion)

  

Psychology 330 (Abnormal)

  

Psychology 360 (Social)

  

Psychology 370 (Ethology and Sociobiology)

  

   Two additional Psychology courses at the 300 or 400 level 

 
   Two additional Psychology courses at the 400 level                  
   Additional Psychology courses                                                         

Total Psychology Hours (200,300,400 level courses at least 24 hours)
