Finally, we decided to walk along the beach. It is rare to find two lighthouses in such close proximity.
This is a photo taken from the beach looking back at the two lighthouses. Because the newer, taller lighthouse is built almost at sea-level and the older one built atop a sandy hill, from this perspective it looks like the two lighthouses are almost the same height.
The picture to the right was also taken from the beach. It provides another perspective of the height of the two lighthouses.
This is a close-up photo Rachelle took of she and I on the beach by holding the camera at arm's length and pointing it back at us. Amazingly, in the center of the picture between the two of us, the old lighthouse is visible.
