Next, we took the Lava Flow Trail, which is located at the base of the volcano. The trail is self-guided and allows visitors to walk in the midst of the lava field.
This is Sunset Crater Volcano. This volcano is an example of a cinder cone, named for the small particles, called cinder, which were ejected from the volcano.
